Katalina Bedisa McCarthy

Mythology & legends hold many truths.  Which part of them is real & which are tampered with are the questions that not many have the answers to.  Only the rare few have this information.  And even fewer have the bloodlines to obtain them.  Katalina has one such bloodline.  If only hers hadn't been dormant for generations, maybe they could have forewarned her of the horrors to come.  On the night of a traumatic event, her unknown bloodline began to awaken.  That of a Pathical; a special sort of being that started out as humans with a natural connection to nature & the elements it embodied.  Little does she know the cost of what being a Pathical bears & what her ancestors suffered to protect their Kin. Fate turns its wheels in favor of steering her toward a path that’s far from her original plans.  It isn’t long before she finds herself spiraling into a rabbit hole of death, illusion falsehoods, magic, and being hunted.  To make things more complicated, she has a werewolf mate with a dark past & a troubled heart.

With her soul now bound between two worlds, so much is at stake.  As she falls deeper, tensions within the pack hierarchy and her world rise.  Many questions and events raise her suspicions as she ponders where she belongs, who she is, and who she truly loves.  While dodging & hiding from those who seek her for power, can she ever be at peace?  Can she trust those around her?  What is the truth & what is the lie?  How many will be lost?  Will the nightmares ever end?

Jeroph Beckman

Marauder. 'Cupitor Caedis.' Ares. Centuries ago, Jeroph & his wolf, Conri, believed they had escaped their crimson past. That is, until their adoptive father, King Bale, was murdered before their entire clan, triggering the return of Ares - the Mad Wolf he & Conri were known by.  Consumed by grief & endless guilt, Jeroph fears he may never be in control.  Until a self-proclaimed friend of King Bale arrives, bearing gifts for him & his brothers.  Gifts of their futures. The last thing the future king of the Tiscarenos had expected was Katalina Bedisa McCarthy & the prophecy he is to fulfill with her.  It isn’t long after they meet before he realizes how powerless he truly is to protect her.  To make matters worse, his past is slowly coming back to haunt him & the Tiscarenos despise him. How could he blame them, when he's had unexplained blackouts where he doesn't remember attacking his fellow clansmen?

Being the leader of a pack and clan that are riddled with traitors, it makes him wonder just how many are hiding.  With his heart reviving & his father's legacy crawling with secrets & falsehoods, will he ever uncover the truth? Can he love Katalina the way she deserves?  More importantly, can he bring himself to let go of the past before he loses her, too?
